This Friday January 28th, join a conversation with Ben Van Dusen about "Using LASSO to evaluate the impacts of instruction".

Research-based assessments can provide empirical measures of the impacts of instruction. Most STEM instructors, however, don’t use them consistently because they take time to administer, score, and analyze. The Learning About STEM Student Outcomes (LASSO) platform is a free NSF-funded resource designed to remove these barriers for instructors. In this presentation we will explore how LASSO can support STEM course transformations, its new equity analysis tools, and ways that it can support discipline-based education research.

Sit down with other engaged colleagues on Zoom. Based on research by the Summer Institutes, supports are three times more important than barriers in implementing Scientific Teaching in classrooms. Join us for support with the National Institute on Scientific Teaching, formerly the Summer Institutes (Bathgate et al., 2019a, 2019b).
