Bishop-Clark and Dietz-Uhler's "Engaging in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning" provides an excellent introduction for anyone interested in Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, or SoTL. From developing research questions and ideas to disseminating findings, this book guides the reader through every step of the process and provides insights, templates, and a range of examples to support new SoTL practitioners. This book group will provide information, resource, and practice for participants interested in pursuing SoTL and will allow for rich discussions of how to follow a path to a successful SoTL project. Whether brand new to the SoTL concept or well-versed and experienced in SoTL work, join the Drake Institute in this five-session experience and explore ideas and opportunities surrounding SoTL at Ohio State.

- Describe the steps necessary for planning, implementing, and disseminating a successful SoTL study.
- Generate appropriate SoTL research questions.
- Carefully consider factors critical to valid SoTL data collection and analysis.
- Identify opportunities to disseminate findings resulting from a SoTL project.
- Anticipate and overcome barriers to successful research in teaching and learning.
