Description
** Note: This book group will meet for 3 weeks for a total of 6 points.
This group will meet for 3 weeks on 2/15, 2/22, and 3/1.
We will read a thought-provoking book about maintaining disciplinary standards while creating learning opportunities that invite students into the learning process, teach them how to take responsibility for their learning, and allow them to share their diverse voices and learn about alternate perspectives. This book focuses on the teacher and the work of re-thinking and developing a course, including case studies, examples of student work, and examples of classroom challenges.
This is a face-to-face book discussion group. Meetings will take place in the Ohio Union from 2–3:30 p.m. on February 15, February 22, and March 1. Participation is limited to 12 individuals for whom UCAT will provide books. Participants must commit to attending all three meetings. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis.
