Description
This workshop is part of the January New Faculty Welcome sessions, but all Ohio State instructors are welcome to attend.
Led by Larry Hurtubise, Director, Office of Educational Innovation and Scholarship, College of Pharmacy, this session will provide an overview ofevidence based teaching practices, and teaching methods for clinical instructors. After this session, attendees will be able to:
- Consider research on significant learning when designing instruction.
- Reflect on various methods of assessing student learning and providing feedback in clinical settings.
- Identify active learning methods to promote student learning.
- Identify resources, networks, and programs available to support health professions educators.
