Description
This workshop is part of the Spring New Faculty Welcome sessions, but all Ohio State instructors are welcome to attend.

This workshop, led by Jonathan Baker, Associate Professor of Statistics and Associate Director of the Drake Institute, will provide an overview of the principles of active learning, and how they can be used to promote enhanced learning in the large class setting.

At the conclusion of the session, attendees will be familar with active learning strategies such as polling, synchronous chat, break out rooms, screen sharing and whiteboard, annotation and asynchronous discussion boards, and strategies to reach marginalized students through intentionality.

RSVP for the workshop with the CLSE here as well as at the event webpage linked above.

Following the workshop, email Erica Szeyller.1 to confirm your attendance for the full event time. If you were not able to attend the full event, email Erica Szeyller.1 to discuss the possibility of 5001 course points.
