This week Dave Sovic will be talking about his research - A Metacognitive Approach to Rethinking Learning Outcomes…Administrative Artifacts or Tools to Enhance Instruction?
In this seminar we will discuss how instructors can embrace learning outcomes and refocus their courses and approaches to instructional design in a way that transforms learning outcomes into tools to promote student achievement. This discussion will be placed in the context of the metacognitive process, and participants will be given the opportunity to further develop their own metacognitive skills while changing the way they think about the use of learning outcomes.
