Description
Join the Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning’s Graduate Consultants for our Graduate Teaching Toolkit: Engaging in Difficult Conversations Across Teaching Contexts on March 3, 2025, from 11:30am – 1:00pm in the Barbie Tootle Room, Ohio Union. Lunch will be provided!
These specialized workshops are designed by graduate students, for graduate students, for exploring core competencies, supporting professional development, and building community across graduate students.
In this workshop, we will equip GTAs with skills for tackling difficult conversations in a variety of contexts: in the classroom, across email, and during office hours. Participants will gain confidence in preventing, managing, and following up on tough situations relevant to their specific role.
During this workshop, participants will…
· Identify and practice strategies for addressing hot moments inside and outside the classroom.
· Reflect on how to best prevent future hot moments.
All graduate students, regardless of teaching experience, are welcome to attend! To learn more, and to register: https://drakeinstitute.osu.edu/events/graduate-teaching-toolkit-engaging-difficult-conversations-across-teaching-contexts
