LEARNING GOALS Participants in this session will be able to: ** Design courses to prevent student disengagement by front-loading community-building activities. ** Recognize signs of student disengagement and struggling in the online context. ** Take active steps to engage struggling students with purposeful, effective interventions. In this webinar, Audrey Begun and Jennie Babcock of the College of Social Work will present practical advice to help struggling students in online courses, centered around active engagement and maintaining a course community. Join use to learn how you can take proactive steps to engage students from the first day of class, and maintain those connections throughout your course. The presenters will provide useful tips for monitoring student progress, identifying those who are struggling, and taking actionable steps to help them get back on track.
