Description
Interprofessional education (IPE) is an essential component of preparing health professions students for collaborative practice. Assessing the outcomes of IPE can be a complex and challenging task. This workshop will introduce the participants to the key concepts, methods, and tools for designing and implementing effective assessment strategies for IPE and provide examples of IPE assessments used here at Ohio State.

After this workshop participants will be able to:

  • define Interprofessional Education (IPE) and its importance for health professions education and practice
  • explain the IPEC competencies and how they guide IPE curriculum and assessment at Ohio State
  • distinguish between strategies for assessing interprofessional teams and team members
  • compare and contrast the benefits and challenges of specific assessments in an IPE context
