End time

Description
Clear communication about course activities supports effective teaching and student success. In the case of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), instructors may have varying perspectives on its use for academic activities. During this interactive workshop, you get an opportunity to reflect the use of GenAI in your course, craft a syllabus statement aligned with your learning goals and plan transparent strategies for sharing your expectations with students.

After attending the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • choose a syllabus statement aligned with course learning goals
  • discuss important elements of transparent communication
  • plan strategies for discussing course expectations for AI use with students
