Participate in a hands-on workshop designed to help you understand what digital badges are about, how they can be used in class and how to start creating and awarding your own badges. Tim Rhodus, from the Department of Horticulture & Crop Science, will discuss how he has used digital badges to recognize student achievement in his classes and how students are able to share their badges with others, as well as offer some guidance on designing a badge. Henry Griffy, ODEE, will discuss some of the curricular side of badging and recommended steps for designing a set of badges to correspond with a set of activities.
