This event is for Graduate Students Only.
In this workshop, participants will evaluate the effects of the “hidden curriculum” on students from underrepresented backgrounds. We will explore transparency in instruction as a method to “unlock” this curriculum for our students. Participants will be also given the opportunity to design an inclusive, transparent assignment.

- Define “parallel content” and “hidden curriculum” and the impact it has on marginalized students.
- Discuss the effects and the inclusive value of transparency in course and assignment design.
- Develop an inclusive and transparent assignment.
