Description
Caprice Hollins, Psy.D., author of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Strategies for Facilitating Conversation on Race, is know nationally for her expertise in connecting cultures. This keynote address will provide a common framework and understanding of what is meant by cultural competence and the work we need to do to grow in our ability to effectively engage across cultures. Hollins will show how working together to develop our cultural competence individually and institutionally can help each one of us take part in sharing our world into one where everyone benefits through inclusivity and the honoring of differences.
Participants will:
** Develop a common language and understanding for what is mean by cultural competence
** Learn norms for engaging in courageous conversations
** Leave with a framework to use to export how cultural competence applies to the workplace.
