Are you interested in completing the Drake Institute Instructional Redesign Program, but don’t quite know what it takes? Have you started your IR and now feel stress over the task of creating an IR portfolio that will pass review? Does the IR process feel overwhelming?
The Michael V. Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning is offering a series of IR Portfolio Writing Workshops to assist. The workshop begins with IR Portfolio Writing Workshop I – Instructional Context and Pedagogical Approach. This 75-minute workshop will provide participants with guidelines and tips to make the portfolio production process clear and efficient. In this workshop, participants will hear about what to include (and what not to include) in the Teaching Context and Pedagogy section (Section 1) of the IR portfolio. In addition, the workshop reserves approximately 30 minutes for participants to engage in focused, independent writing with a Drake Institute representative available to give real-time feedback and guidance.
Upon completion of the workshop, it is expected that each participant will have a full draft of their IR Portfolio Section 1 (Teaching Context and Pedagogy) written and ready for eventual submission as part of their complete IR portfolio.
If you have questions or would like additional information about this offering, contact drakeinstitute@osu.edu or to the Drake Institute Instructional Redesign Coordinator, Dave Sovic (sovic.2@osu.edu).
