Description

This workshop will be a facilitated case study discussion–Compensation Strategies to Improve Communication–and will focus on strategies to build rapport with students early in the semester and throughout teaching a course. Sources of miscommunication between students and instructors will be investigated in order to provide participants with tangible strategies to increase effective communication (verbal and non-verbal) with others in and out of the classroom.
Workshop Schedule
This workshop takes place online on Wednesday, February 6 at 2-3:30PM ET / 1-2:30PM CT / 12-1:30PM MT / 11AM-12:30PM PT.
Workload
Participants will be expected to complete manageable pre-work to maximize synchronous time.
Registration & Enrollment
This workshop is limited to 40 participants.
Early registration for CIRTL members only is open from Monday, December 10, through 12PM CT on Friday, January 18. Regular registration runs from Monday, January 21 through 12PM CT on Friday, February 1.
