In the second part of this workshop (see part 1 info below), participants will focus on one specific lesson/class day and work through a series of steps to refine or create active learning strategies. Environments designed for active learning have consistently been shown to increase student engagement, as they force students to move from passive recorders of information to active participants in their own education. This session will be held in an Active Learning Classroom and use active learning methodologies to help participants identify ways that they can move their classes away from standard lectures toward a more active, student-centered experience.
