Description
Are you wondering how to promote learning in an online environment? If so, Minds Online: Teaching Effectively with Technology by Michelle D. Miller (2014) is for you. Using non-technical language, the author applies neuroscience and cognitive psychology to provide an engaging discussion about how attention, memory, and analytical reasoning can be enhanced in courses that mindfully incorporate technology. This book group will be held fully online via CarmenConnect. Priority is given to OSU instructors who teach at our branch campuses. Meetings will take place from 9:30-11:00am on the following Tuesdays in Autumn: October 3, 10, 24, 31. Participants must commit to attending all four meetings. Participation is limited to 12 individuals for whom UCAT will provide books. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. ** You must attend all 4 session to get the points. Please register below as well as at the event webpage: https://ucat.osu.edu/events/minds-online-virtual-book-group/ Following the event, email Erica Szeyller.1 to confirm your attendance.
