** Note: there is a required homework and reflection component of this activity. As part of his Biology 1113 course, Dr. Dave Sovic is hosting a poster session for groups of his students to present their posters created on a viral human pathogenic disease. We are offering you the opportunity to attend the poster session, review three posters using a rubric, and then write a reflection paper using prompts provided following the event. The goal of this activity is for you to (a) help students have an authentic poster session experience through interaction with them regarding their project, and (b) think about how this project aligns with course learning objectives and evidence-based instruction. Attendance at the poster session, completion of the rubric for three posters and the reflection paper will be worth 4 5001 points. Instructions: 1) Before the poster session, review the poster assignment guidelines. 2) When you arrive at the poster session, see Jon Horn for rubrics. 3) Review three poster presentations based on the rubric - try to give the students a true poster session experience - feel free to ask questions and give feedback on their presentation. You can hold on to the rubrics, you will use these to help with the reflection. 4) Following the event, do the required reflection and submit it to the Special Project Assignment on Carmen.
