Description
Come learn about research being done on teaching and learning.
This week Liz Beggrow will be presenting her research on the contextual effects on students' reasoning about evolutionary change.
Trends in introductory biology student reasoning elicited from a larger comparative study will be presented with a discussion focused on how (or whether) we apply this information to instruction. The study the trends were drawn from investigated differences in reasoning patterns between university biology and anthropology students’ explanations of human and nonhuman evolutionary change.
