On behalf of the BioTAP Conference Committee, we are excited to announce the Fourth Annual BioTAP Virtual Conference to be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 (1-5 EST), AND Tuesday, November 9 (1-4:35 EST). This year we have added a social hour (8-9 PM EST Monday, November 8) and nascent idea discussion sessions where you can gather with others interested in graduate student teaching professional development and discuss topics of interest.

This conference is FREE for all attendees. Attached is the schedule of talks as well as a second attachment with the abstracts for each talk.

Dr. Daniel Reinholz (San Diego State University) will be the keynote for the conference and will present a talk entitled, “Measuring what we value: What does it take to transform GTA professional development?” He will consider the role of departmental culture in supporting the types of systemic change necessary for supporting graduate student teaching.

Please hold the conference day and time on your calendar. The conference will be held via the Zoom online platform, which will allow you to join and leave the conference as your schedule permits.

If you plan to attend some or all of the conference, complete the registration form below by November 5, 2021. We will use the information to send you the Conference Zoom link.
