Description
For students surrounded by the concept of “fake news,” it is more challenging than ever to know what are acceptable sources and opinions in class. In this workshop, participants will discuss ways “fake news” impacts inclusive teaching practices and define “what counts” as evidence in their discipline. They will become familiar with resources to support students’ development while reducing the barriers to learning. Participants will also begin to develop inclusive teaching strategies to increase critical thinking and information literacy in their own course.
