Description
Registration for this workshop is open specifically for Graduate Teaching Associates at OSU.
In this workshop, participants will learn how to design accessible and effective assignments for both in-person and online teaching contexts. We will emphasize creative and flexible designs that provide students of diverse backgrounds and experiences the opportunity to meaningfully engage with course content. This webinar provides a space for graduate instructors with varying levels of teaching experience to collaborate and learn from each other. Participants will use backwards design to develop assignments that guide student learning in alignment with course goals and learning outcomes.
Participant pre-work: Participants should prepare the description for an assessment and its learning outcomes ahead of the workshop meeting. Participants will be provided with instructions and resources a week in advance of the workshop.
- This workshop is worth 2 points because of the associated pre-work.
