Description
A new student organization called CRUST - Community for Research-based Undergraduate STEM Teaching - will be having our first meeting next Tuesday, January 28th at 5:00 pm in Jennings 164. We look forward to you joining us for some good discussion and free pizza! What is CRUST? A new student organization with two major focuses: 1) Professional development . CRUST will be great for people who are interested in pursuing a teaching position in the future or have a passion for education. To our knowledge, CRUST is the first and only student org at OSU that focuses on professional development for STEM educators. We are still new, so please pass this email along to others who may be interested! For our meetings, we will be seeking to bring in outside experts to speak on relevant teaching topics including things like theories of learning, course design, development of digital resources, scholarly teaching, teaching the nature of science/STEM, teaching philosophies, creating assignments, and many others! Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
