Description
For anyone who needs a refresher, CRUST is a community for STEM TAs here at Ohio State with three major focuses: 1) Professional development 2) Community building 3) Exploration of research-based teaching practices. CRUST will be great for people who are interested in pursuing a teaching position in the future or have a passion for education. To our knowledge, CRUST is the first and only student org at OSU that focuses on professional development for STEM educators. CRUST also provides a space for TAs to connect with each other.

For our next meeting (Nov 2nd at 5pm via Zoom) we will be going over different ways of receiving feedback, how to interrupt and implement feedback (Paper attached), and the benefits of asking students for feedback during(Paper attached) and at the end of the semester.

Remember, if you present at a CRUST meeting you will receive more points for Bio 5001. All you will need to do is pick out a research-based paper and outline the paper on PowerPoint or any other presentation software so that we as a group can discuss the paper.
