Description
Scholarly articles. Books. Tweets. YouTube videos. Websites. Every day, our students encounter information that comes in a variety of different formats. In order to become effective information users, students need to develop an understanding of the processes by which different types of information products are created and disseminated, as well as a recognition that the format of an information source can contribute to the perceived value of that source.

Information Creation as a Process is one of the six core information literacy concepts highlighted in the Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education (ACRL, 2015). This concept will be explored in the next interactive workshop sponsored by the University Libraries, which will take place on Wednesday, October 14, from noon-1:00 p.m. Workshop participants will learn more about the concept, discuss related student learning bottlenecks and consider activities that can be used to help students increase their understanding of the concept.

All workshops are virtual.  Zoom information will be provided upon registration. For questions, contact Jane Hammons.
