** THIS EVENT INCLUDES A REQUIRED REFLECTION and is only for lecture instructors. One challenge for lecturers is finding large blocks of time to put their ideas for teaching into action. In this new series designed for associated faculty, we use 15-minute online meetings spread out over the term to make teaching development manageable. Discuss challenges and questions about a topic, review foundational strategies, then plan and share small changes to implement each month. Drop in for some fresh ideas on your lunch break or attend the whole series as a way to complete a large project across the term. This semester we take on the lackluster lesson: is there a class session you teach regularly that just doesn’t work the way you’d like? Does it make you feel rushed? Are students low energy or missing the point? Or maybe you’re just ready to try something new! Join us to rework it together using backward design.
