Description
Programmatic assessment is the collection, analysis and use of information about educational programs intended to improve student learning. It includes formative and summative strategies that can inform teaching decisions and self-directed learning. This workshop equips educators, with aims to provide participants with foundational knowledge about assessment to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

After this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • define terms commonly used in academic program assessment
  • discuss the likely impact of assessment on programs and students
  • use backward design to align a program’s assessment strategies with it goals, outcomes and curriculum
