As we engage with our students on issues of diversity and inclusion in an increasingly multicultural, interconnected world, is it possible to also teach empathy? If so, what teaching strategies can we bring to our classrooms to cultivate empathy? In this interactive performance-based workshop, participants will have the opportunity to explore some of the challenges we face in helping our student populations to engage fully with the world around them. InterACT is a theatre-based ensemble that uses interactive techniques to assist participants in developing success strategies and problem-solving common classroom scenarios.
