Description
The Guiding Students to Wellness workshop is a 2-hour, in-person training designed specifically for faculty, staff and graduate/professional students at The Ohio State University. Training opportunities are offered in-person and virtual. Participants will learn the skills needed to effectively guide students to wellness through Motivational Interviewing and best-referral practices. Participants will learn about Student Wellness Center programming and services and gain tangible skills to help students access wellness-related resources on Ohio State's campus, specifically highlighting nutrition/food insecurity, mental health, sexual violence and financial wellness. Throughout the workshop, there will be multiple opportunities to ask questions and practice scenarios to help participants become more confident in assisting students in need.
