Description
What hindsight might we derive from 2020 (when we shifted to online teaching)? Join us to discuss the results of a small qualitative study (n=51) that assessed student perceptions of engagement during that challenging time. Their voices offer insight on how to improve instructional practice as we move forward, likely continuing some levels of online and hybrid instruction in the future.
After this workshop participants will be able to:
Participants will:
- Hear directly from students (summaries and quotes) of what specific techniques and approaches students found helpful
- Learn what instructors did to increase engagement with materials
- Learn what helped students connect in the online environment
