Description
Students with disabilities can experience a layer of barriers, bureaucracy, and stigma that can challenge them on their path to success on our campuses. This is especially acute when their disabilities are non-apparent and/or undisclosed. We will share data and narratives to illustrate how students experience academic and campus practices. We will discuss the culture-setting and stigma-reduction strategies that faculty can utilize to refine their inclusive instructional practices.

After this workshop participants will be able to:
Participants will learn types and characteristics of hidden disabilities.
Participants will learn common accommodations for students with these types of disabilities.
Participants will learn common barriers students with these disabilities face, and how to facilitate eliminating these barriers in their instructional design
