Description
LEARNING GOALS After attending this session, participants will be able to: ** Identify potential factors contributing to academic dishonesty and best practices for combatting them to create an atmosphere of academic integrity. ** Identify eLearning tools supported by Ohio State that can prevent, reduce and detect inappropriate student conduct, including Turnitin, Carmen Quizzes and Proctorio. ** Use best pedagogical practices to prevent and reduce academic misconduct. ** Locate resources, additional information and support related to academic integrity. In this session, experts from ODEE teams involved with various aspects of eLearning and online teaching will present the basics instructors need to know in order to promote academic integrity in their courses. You will leave with a solid grasp of factors contributing to academic dishonesty and best practices for combatting them to create an atmosphere of academic integrity. Additionally, we will cover Ohio-State supported eLearning tools that supplement these best practices, including Turnitin, Carmen Quizzes and Proctorio, our new online exam proctoring tool. We will conclude with a review of resources (human and material) that instructors can draw on for additional training and support. There will be opportunities to pose questions throughout the session.
