This interactive workshop will engage participants with composite narratives developed from results of a study on science faculty’s conceptions of equity. Participants will engage in discussion and reflection on how different conceptions of equity may relate to practices that can support, or inadvertently hinder, student success. They will also consider the benefits of using this approach as a starting point for conversations in their departments to develop a collective definition of equity and advance reform efforts in the classroom.
