For anyone who needs a refresher, CRUST is a community for STEM TAs here at Ohio State with three major focuses: 1) Professional development 2) Community building 3) Exploration of research-based teaching practices. CRUST will be great for people who are interested in pursuing a teaching position in the future or have a passion for education. To our knowledge, CRUST is the first and only student org at OSU that focuses on professional development for STEM educators. CRUST also provides a space for TAs to connect with each other.

Additional spring meetings will be on the following Mondays from 4-5:
  • Feb 7th (Topic: Development and use of digital resources in a course management system)
  • Feb 28th (Topic: The importance of scholarly reflective practice)
  • March 21st (Topic: Strategies to support the teaching of nature of science, the history of science, and the interrelationship between science and technology)
  • April 4th (Topic: Metacognition activity)
