Description
Are you wondering how to promote learning in an online environment? If so, Minds Online: Teaching Effectively with Technology by Michelle D. Miller (2014) is for you. Using non-technical language, the author applies neuroscience and cognitive psychology to provide an engaging discussion about how attention, memory, and analytical reasoning can be enhanced in courses that mindfully incorporate technology. This book group will be held fully online via CarmenConnect. Meetings will take place from 1-2:30pm on the following Tuesdays in March: March 1, 8, 22, and 29. Participants must commit to attending all four meetings. Participation is limited to 12 individuals for whom UCAT will provide books. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. ** You must attend all 4 session to get the points. Please register below as well as at the event webpage: http://ucat.osu.edu/events/minds-online-virtual-spring-book-group/ Following the event, email Erica Szeyller.1 to confirm your attendance.
