In both traditional and remote teaching, instructors control course content. But one significant difference between these modalities is that whereas instructors have control over their classroom when in a traditional setting, they cannot control the student’s immediate learning environment when teaching remotely. We will discuss factors that impact the effectiveness of remote teaching and share our strategies for mitigation.
