At the conclusion of this session, attendees will be able to:

Whether you are an academic course instructor or an academic adviser, new tools make it possible for students to attend your office hours wherever your students might be located. You can talk with your students, use a white-board or share your desktop to do demonstrations. Sessions can be recorded to make them available to other students.
Synchronous office hours are a crucial component to every academic course and can be a valuable component advisers can use to meet with students remotely. Virtual office hours allow instructor accessibility in a distance as well as a face-to-face course . They also provide an alternate method of access for consultations. Virtual synchronous office hours allow for more flexible meeting times while still making it possible to ask questions.
This session will consider the advantages of synchronous virtual office hours, best practices to implement this method and Carmen Connect as the tool for implementation. Attending this webinar will give you a sense of what the experience is like for students.
