Description
Nationally, our STEM professions have suffered and continue to suffer from lack of participation by underrepresented groups. The National Alliance for Doctoral Studies in the Mathematical Sciences (www.mathalliance.org) is an effort to address these concerns in the mathematical sciences by building a community of mentors. We will discuss the history, successes, and challenges of the Alliance, and what its future might hold. We will also discuss scalability, as well as recent efforts to adapt some of the Alliance structures successfully to other STEM disciplines. Please RSVP here and at: go.osu.edu/DavidGoldberg Following the event email Erica Szeyller.1 to confirm your attendance.
