Description
Ohio State educates thousands of international undergraduate students each year. While they are dedicated and high-performing students, they can struggle to adapt to cultural differences in teaching and learning. After considering the academic needs and challenges of international undergraduate students, participants will learn classroom inclusion strategies, and consider ways to model and encourage the most effective study strategies, with the goal of supporting all students. This workshop is part of the Inclusive Teaching Endorsement offered by the University Institute for Teaching and Learning (UITL). For more information check out the following webpages: ** https://ucat.osu.edu/ucat-events/endorsements/ ** https://uitl.osu.edu/instructors/teaching-endorsements RSVP for the workshop with the CLSE here as well as at the event webpage: https://ucat.osu.edu/events/supporting-international-student-diversity-classroom/ Following the workshop, email Erica Szeyller.1 to confirm your attendance for the full event time.
