Description
A fundamental part of skill building is practice. This workshop offers participants the opportunity to practice the dialogue building skills and de-escalation techniques introduced in our Navigating Difficult DEI Conversations workshop. Participants will be given different workplace scenarios and will collaborate with one another to apply these dialogue building and de-escalation skills in real time. Note: This workshop is designed to be attended after the Navigating Difficult DEI Conversations
(link is external) workshop.

If you are in need of additional CART services or other accommodations, please contact Sophia Antoun at Antoun.5@osu.edu or 614-292-2646. Requests made two weeks in advance will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this timeframe.

Objectives

  • Practice conversation strategies to help navigate difficult DEI conversations
  • Increase confidence in building dialogue and de-escalating conflict
