Assessment is a core element of course and instructional design that provides information to both instructors and students, alike, on progress toward learning. However, assessment, when used effectively, not only provides a measure of progress but also serves as a valuable tool to aid learning. A shift in thinking and planning from assessment of learning to assessment for learning can have pronounced effects on student satisfaction, motivation, and achievement. In this workshop, practical ideas and strategies will be shared that provide a strong foundation for creating a teaching and learning environment in which assessment serves not only to measure but to enhance student success.
Participants are encouraged to register for all workshops in this series or choose to register solely for the workshops that align with their needs. Additional workshop dates will be announced soon.
