In this workshop, Chris Manion from the Center for the Study and Teaching of Writing will guide a conversation about how we can read student writing in ways that help us frame feedback or design classroom activities to address what we learn from students’ writing. We’ll look at some samples of student work from CLSE classes, talk about what learning we see happening (even if it’s not what we want or expect), and brainstorm strategies to respond to issues we identify.
