Scholarship as Conversation is one of the core information literacy concepts in the Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education. But what does it mean to describe scholarship as a conversation? And why is this concept important for students to understand? This workshop, part of the University Libraries’ Information Literacy Virtual Workshop Series, will provide an overview of the Scholarship as Conversation concept, explore student learning bottlenecks related to the concept, and provide strategies and resources that instructors can use to help their students develop an understanding of the concept.

This workshop is open to all faculty, instructors, graduate teaching associates, and staff at Ohio State. This event will take place on Thursday, September 29 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm via Zoom. You will be emailed a Zoom link at least 24 hours in advance. 

For eligible participants, attendance at the workshop can count toward completion of the Teaching Information Literacy teaching endorsement through the Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning.
