Description
Wake Technical Community College’s NSF-START Undergraduate Research Internship program is based on the Community of Inquiry holistic model that incorporates social presence, cognitive presence, and teaching presence into the educational experience. Randomized controlled trial data displays a statistically significant increase for program participants in retention and number of credits earned as well as student skills and abilities. During this session, participants will a) learn about the START Program and b) engage with other participants to explore best practices.
