Description
LEARNING GOALS
After this session, participants will be able to:
Use the basic features of CarmenZoom
Identify the teaching and learning opportunities available with virtual collaboration
Follow basic guidelines for using CarmenZoom to deliver synchronous and asynchronous instruction
Integrate CarmenZoom into their courses for teacher-student and student-student collaboration
This interactive session will present basic guidelines and best practices for using CarmenZoom, Ohio State's web conferencing tool, to teach remotely while face-to-face lectures, discussion sections, seminars and other similar classes are suspended. Explore opportunities for connecting and collaborating virtually in real time, as well as for using CarmenZoom to record video lectures for asynchronous instruction. You will have time to practice interacting with peers within CarmenZoom and to consider how you can incorporate the tool in your current teaching context.
