Description
With the semester getting closer we have begun to schedule our Fall meetings. For anyone who needs a refresher, CRUST is a community for STEM TAs here at Ohio State with three major focuses: 1) Professional development 2) Community building 3) Exploration of research-based teaching practices. CRUST will be great for people who are interested in pursuing a teaching position in the future or have a passion for education. To our knowledge, CRUST is the first and only student org at OSU that focuses on professional development for STEM educators. CRUST also provides a space for TAs to connect with each other.
Our first meeting will be about getting to know your students and how knowing students' name can be so powerful (paper attached: Cooper et al., 2017).
The location of the meeting is TBD, but it will either be in Jennings Hall or Aronoff Laboratory at 3pm.
RSVP for the workshop with the CLSE here.
Following the workshop, email Erica Szeyller.1 to confirm your attendance for the full event time. If you were not able to attend the full event, email Erica Szeyller.1 to discuss the possibility of 5001 course points.
