Description
Bring your lunch and join the CLSE Journal Group! The purpose of this group is to informally discuss recent literature in science/biology education to help keep us aware of important developments and to help us make scholarly decisions regarding our pedagogical changes. The group will meet every other week in the CLSE conference room. Each meeting will have one person who chooses the readings and leads the discussion. We encourage faculty, staff, and graduate students to take turns as the meeting facilitator. The readings for each meeting will be posted in Carmen.
This week Felipe will be leading a discussion on the highly cited article: Jensen, J. L., Kummer, T. A., & Godoy, P. D. D. M. (2015). Improvements from a flipped classroom may simply be the fruits of active learning. CBE—Life Sciences Education, 14(1), ar5.
