Description
Concepts maps are used to graphically represent the relationships between ideas, objects, and other knowledge. They are frequently used to assess a student’s degree of conceptualization for a specific topic. This workshop will provide a brief introduction to concepts maps, followed by a discussion of strategies that TAs can use to explain successful concept map construction to their students. We will also use several examples of concept maps created by 401 and 402 students to discuss and evaluate as a group.
