Description
** This activity is 2 points total with a *required* reflection.

This Friday December 3rd, join a conversation with Erin Dolan about "Mentoring the mentor: What to do when what was said is not what was heard".

Many faculty mentor undergraduate and graduate researchers as part of their responsibilities, yet few are formally trained to mentor. This session will address one of the main ways that research mentoring relationships go awry: poor communication. Participants will consider a series of communication-related scenarios and strategize about how to improve communication in research mentoring.

Sit down with other engaged colleagues on Zoom. Based on research by the Summer Institutes, supports are three times more important than barriers in implementing Scientific Teaching in classrooms. Join us for support with the National Institute on Scientific Teaching, formerly the Summer Institutes (Bathgate et al., 2019a, 2019b).

Make sure you RSVP with the CLSE and the hosting unit!
·      RSVP for the workshop with the CLSE here by clicking “RSVP” in the upper right corner. If you decide not to attend, please “Cancel RSVP”.
