Description
The gallery walk is a simple and effective literature-supported approach to integrating peer feedback into the student learning experience. In this workshop, participants will learn how to incorporate the gallery walk strategy into new or existing assignments or teaching and learning activities. Participants will also be given opportunity to consider how to integrate the gallery walk strategy into different teaching contexts and across different modalities.

Participants are only asked to arrive motivated to improve practice, and they’ll leave with a plan for effective, evidence-based change using gallery walk!

Participants are encouraged to register for all six workshops or choose to register solely for the workshops that align with their needs. Workshop dates are as follows:

September 6th: An Introduction to Evidence-Based Active Learning
September 28th: Deep Dive into Active Learning Implementation Practice
October 11th: Evidence-Based Active Learning: Peer Instruction
October 26th: Evidence-Based Active Learning: Minute Paper
November 8th: Evidence-Based Active Learning: Jigsaw
November 30th: Evidence-Based Active Learning: Gallery Walk

After this workshop participants will be able to:

  • describe the evidence-based strategy, gallery walk
  • plan implementation of the gallery walk strategy in their own context
  • anticipate and overcome barriers to effective use of gallery walk
  • identify appropriate assessments to measure the effectiveness of the gallery walk strategy
